My general aesthetic is considered "classic contemporary" and this chair is no exception. This design style blends traditional elements (antique skis) with concurrent themes (minimalistic approach to the traditional Adirondack chair).

WHITE OAK
White oak is an exceptional domestic hardwood for outdoor furniture due to its dense cellular structure, which naturally resists rot, decay, and moisture. White oak has blocked pores that make it highly water-resistant, historically making it a top choice for ship and barrel making. The wood is rich in natural tannins which naturally deter insects and fungal growth. White oak outlasts many other hardwoods outdoors and weathers beautifully.
STAINLESS STEEL
Stainless steel fasteners are the gold standard for outdoor applications due to their exceptional corrosion and rust resistance. Stainless steel is highly resistant to standard outdoor weathering, rain, and humidity.
BRANDING
I brand the center ski of each chair using a laser printer, so the logo is actually burnt into the wood and is indented about 1/16", so it won't rub away like a surface burn from a traditional branding iron. My printer can print at a very high resolution, so I can make some very detailed brands, but I've found it's best to keep it simple for optimal readability.
TEXT LOGOS
Text-based branding on the center ski is included with each chair. The logos below are all based on actual wooden skis from the late-nineteenth to early-twentieth century and can all be altered to display your desired information. Let me know what you would like written on them instead of the stock text and I will make a draft for you. I will design one round of your edits before charging my hourly design rate.
VINTAGE DESIGNS
Beyond the mainly text-based designs above, I am slowly recreating a library of more complex antique and vintage ski logos and will post them below as they become available. There is no additional cost for any pre-designed graphic.
CUSTOM ART
Custom Graphics: Depending on my workload (or snow conditions), I might have time to offer fully custom graphic design services.
Company Logo: If you're looking to brand the ski with your preexisting logo, let's do it! Setup cost for a vector graphic that requires zero to minimal adaptation won't be much; however, if your art is a raster image, then I will charge my hourly design rate to vectorize it.
MORE OPTIONS
Multiple Skis: If you are interested in branding more than one ski on each chair that isn't an issue, but it does add to the production time. When it's all said and done, laser printing each ski takes about 15-20 minutes.
